《江南》是一首汉代乐府诗。这是一首采莲歌,诗中没有一字是写人的,而是通过对莲叶和鱼儿的描绘,让读者仿佛如闻其声,如见其人,如临其境,领略到了采莲人内心的欢乐。全诗使用比喻和反复的修辞,为我们勾勒了一幅明丽美妙的画面。一、比喻首句“江南可采莲”译者用“gather”和“all the way”来描绘这种场景,虽没有一字提及人,但却生动地表现出一路欢愉的场景。紧承上句而来的第二句“莲叶何田田”,显然也是明写莲叶茂密,暗喻采莲姑娘们人数众多,姿态丰美,译者用了“How joyfully”感叹句的形式,“joyfully”这个词本身用来形容人,却用来描绘“lotus leaves”,用了比喻的手法刻画出采莲人欢快婀娜的身影。
