摘要
霍夫曼作品中出现的自动玩偶或者以预言者来推动情节的发展,或者是角色欲望的反映,或者有着造人与人造身份的转换。自动玩偶的功能多重性反映了它们的伦理困境:似人而非人。霍夫曼以他的方式回应了自动机这个时代主题:对待这些理性的产物,人类也需要理性对待,全力以赴地盲目崇拜或是不假思索地沉迷其中,必然带来自我的分裂,最终导致悲剧的发生。
The automat-puppen in Hoffmann's works may either promote the development of the plots as prophets,or reflect the desires of the characters,or undergo the identity transformation between being the man-makers or being the man-made.The multiplicity of the functions of automat-puppen embody their ethical dilemma,that is,their resembling but not really being humans.Hoffmann responds in his own way to the theme of the automat age:To treat these products of rationality,human beings also need to be rational.Blind worship at full stretch or indulgence without thinking will inevitably lead to split ego and finally lead to the occurrence of a tragedy.
