The paper takes a real engineering project as an exemplar,this paper elaborates the mechanism of rock breaking with disc cutter,analyzes the application of disc cutter in typical water-rich sandy gravel stratum,compares the application effect of single disc cutter and double disc cutter,and summarizes the techniques of cutting tools configuration in sandy gravel stratum combining with the actual project.
