Practice of Yancheng City in exploring way of water conservation and utilization in coastal areas

江苏省盐城市深入践行习近平总书记"十六字"治水思路和生态文明思想,立足新发展阶段,贯彻新发展理念,融入新发展格局,坚持政府主导节水,培植高校合同节水,推进农业灌溉节水,试点工业园区节水,创新公路服务区节水,强化深层次宣传节水,保障了经济社会高质量发展,为沿海地区节约用水提供了示范。

Yancheng City of Jiangsu Province,under the guidelines of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s“16 characters”thought of water management and ecological civilization,has implemented new development concept and integrated it into the new framework with consideration on the time and development stage.The city has committed to take lead by government for water conservation,cultivated contract-based water saving in universities,promoted water saving in irrigated agriculture,initiated pilots in industrial parks,innovated measures to save water in highway service areas,and strengthened publicity and public education.It not only secures high-quality development of economy and society,but plays a demonstration role for conserving water in coastal areas.
