PMMA温变摩擦磨损特性研究

摘要 文章以聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)圆盘和氮化硅陶瓷球(Si3N4)为摩擦副,利用旋转式高温真空摩擦磨损试验机测试温度和载荷对PMMA摩擦磨损特性的影响,并使用激光共聚焦3D显微镜对样品划痕进行观察分析。实验结果表明:PMMA的摩擦系数随温度升高呈现先略微降低然后显著增大的变化趋势,临界温度点约为90℃,并且随载荷的增加临界点温度略有减小;90℃以下时摩擦系数随时间变化较为平稳,90℃以上时表现出类似“黏滑”的振动现象。综合分析摩擦系数曲线振动幅度、磨损微观图像和划痕堆积形式,得出PMMA在70℃以下的磨损机理主要为磨粒磨损,90℃以上转变为以黏着磨损为主。 Polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)discs and silicon nitride ceramic balls(Si3N4)were used as friction pairs.The effects of temperature and load on the friction and wear characteristics of PMMA were tested by a rotary high-temperature vacuum friction and wear tester.The sample scratches were observed and analyzed by laser confocal 3D microscope.The experimental results show that the friction coefficient of PMMA decreases slightly with the increase of temperature,and then increases significantly.The critical temperature point is about 90℃,and the critical point temperature decreases slightly with the increase of load.The friction coefficient changes smoothly with time below 90℃.Above 90℃it shows a vibration phenomenon similar to“stick-slip”.By comprehensively analyzing the vibration amplitude of the friction coefficient curve,wear microscopic image and scratch accumulation form,it is concluded that the wear mechanism of PMMA below 70℃is mainly abrasive wear,and the adhesive wear is mainly above 90℃.
