In ancient times, many traditional musical instruments were painted with lacquer, which had a distinct Oriental aesthetic view. The lacquer not only has the functions of anti-corrosion,acid and alkali resistance,moisture-proof and high-temperature resistance, but also has the function of enhancing the service life of musical instruments.Inlaid musical instruments cut and shape the polished materials or grind them into fine sand, and then inlay them on the surface of musical instruments as decoration. The inlay materials of musical instruments are rich, such as gold, silver, bone stone and Baibao. The inlaying and lacquering techniques of mother of pearl are mostly cut into pictures and combined with other lacquering techniques. The inlaying and lacquering techniques complement each other in terms of different materials.
