摘要
毛姆在《月亮与六便士》所展示出的"非理性"生命意识被其融入小说的叙事方式和结构模式中。在叙事方式上,作者将第一人称作为主视角,并配以艾美、德克·史特洛夫夫妇和布鲁诺船长等辅视角,进而图绘生命意识的外在轮廓。在结构模式上,作者构筑了以伦敦、巴黎和塔希提岛为轴心的空间客体并表征特定群体的"共性"和单个人物的"个性",进而复刻生命意识的内在肌理,从而探寻人为何存在及如何存在的问题。
Maugham’s "irrational" life consciousness shown in The Moon and Sixpence is incorporated into the narrative and structural mode of the novel. In terms of narrative style, the author takes the first person "I"as the main perspective, with auxiliary perspectives such as Aimee, Dirk Stroff and Captain Bruno, and then draws the outline of life consciousness. In terms of structural mode, the author constructs space objects centered on London, Paris, and Tahiti, and represents the "commonality" of a specific group and the "personality" of a single character, and then reproduces the inner essence of life consciousness to explore the question of why and how people exist.
