Minqin oasis is facing the crisis of becoming the second Lop Nur.The project of land retirement has brought hope to solve the crisis.Minqin county takes five unified and six paces experience as the main practice to ensure the quality of the project of land retirement.A total of land retirement was 43,800 hm^(2),and the forest coverage rate increased by 9.31 percentage points,effectively alleviating the crisis.The project of land retirement has promoted the follow-up industries such as aquaculture and herb industry in Minqin county to achieve considerable development,with remarkable economic and social benefits.
