Interpretation of Mozi’s Surname from Carpenter’s Line Marker

春秋战国之际出现的"绳墨"工具,与墨子之姓的来源及其学说的构建有着密切关系。墨子出生于木工之家,通过对于绳墨的使用而体悟出规矩绳墨之"器"所蕴含"揣人间曲直"之"道",以之作为他救世哲学的出发点而创立了墨家学派。墨姓当是墨子出于对绳墨之道的推崇,在当时百工阶层以技为氏的背景下自以墨为氏的结果。
