蚩尤同炎、黄二帝一并称为中华人文始祖,蚩尤的归位无疑是中国民族研究的一大进步,也是中华民族文化多样性的补充和继扬。历史上,苗族与汉族虽有摩擦,但其文化源流及民族情感却是一脉相承。先祖蚩尤作为远古传说的英雄,坚强不屈的精神品格一直激励着中华民族。他的形象以复杂多样的形式流传民间,并受到后人信奉和祭祀,成为信仰的符号。今天苗族已遍布全世界,蚩尤信仰也随之流布,成为中国先进文化的代表,在新时代肩负文化复兴使命。故此对蚩尤的研究,一方面是维护民族大团结和中华文明的必要补充,另一方面又是民族灵魂的精神体现和民族意识觉醒的认祖归宗。

Chiyou,together with Yan emperorand Huang emperor,is called the ancestor of Chinese culture.The return of Chiyou is undoubtedly a great progress in the study of Chinese nation,and also a supplement and continuation of the cultural diversity of the Chinese nation.Miao people are regarded as the brothers of Han nationality.Although the confliction between them is constant,their cultural origins and national emotions are consistent.Chiyou,his ancestor,was a hero of ancient legends.His strong and unyielding spiritual character has always inspired the Chinese nation.His image spread among the people in a complex and diverse way,and was believed and sacrificed by later generations,and became the symbol of his faith.Today,Miao people have been spread all over the world.Chiyou belief has also been spread,becoming the representative of Chinese advanced culture and shouldering the mission of cultural revival in the new era.Therefore,the research on Chiyou is a necessary supplement to the maintenance of national unity and Chinese civilization,and on the other hand,to the spiritual embodiment of the national soul and the recognition of the ancestors′return to the ancestors.
