Inulin is a kind of fructan,which widely exists in dahlia,chicory,Jerusalem artichoke and other plants.As a feed additive,inulin can regulate the intestinal flora and function,promote the absorption and metabolism of nutrients,regulate lipid metabolism,and improve the body's immunity,control the emission of harmful gases from livestock and poultry,improve the breeding environment.The article discusses the physiological functions of inulin,its application in animal production and its impact on economic benefits,and provides a reference for promoting the wide application of inulin in feed production.
