In 2017,the majority of young people in Russia recognized Putin as the ideal leader of a nation-state.Many of them worried that the new political leader would not reach the high governing level embodied of Putin. They believed that the future of the country does not depend on themselves, but on political elites and national leaders. On one hand, young people had a strong sense of national identity and most of them were proud of"improving Russia's influence in the international stage".On the other hand, they had no clear judgment on Russia's future, and believed that Russia's future is entirely determined by who would become Russia's leader. The"Putin generation"was willing to understand the world, communicate and integrate with people from other countries, and dislike offensive words, which are similar to youths in other countries.By 2020,the view of young people on Putin has changed to a certain extent whereas the love and pride for the country remain the same.
