The Nanwang Hub Project,located in wenshang County,Jining,is a key project on the Grand Canal,and represents the world's highest achievement of civil engineering technology before industrial revolution in the 17th century.Nanwang situatedat the peak of the Grand Canalis figuratively called"Water Ridge".In the Yuan Dynasty,the navigation was often cut off due toa water shortage.
