Discourse Embedment and Institutional Spillover:A Re-examination of the Political Participation of Mainland Spouses in Taiwan from the Perspective of Ethnic Conflict

陆配是两岸关系发展进程中的伴生群体,当前其境遇与台湾地区统“独”偏见下的政治计算有关,解决问题的钥匙则掌握在积极参与岛内政治生活的陆配及其关联人群手中。通过探究这一群体的政策诉求并估算她们在抗议、建党及竞选活动中的政治动能,可以发现陆配参政的主要困境在于岛内族群政治的身份误导和制度排斥。今后她们只有摆脱“新住民”的话语迷思,主动且全面地融入祖国统一大业进程之中方能求得真正的政治发展。

“Mainland spouses in Taiwan”is an accompanying group in the development of the cross-Straits relations.Their current situation is related to the political consideration under the prejudice of“unification and independence”in Taiwan.The key to solving the problem lies in the hands of the mainland spouses and their associated groups who are actively involved in the participation in the political life of the island.By exploring the policy demands of this group and estimating their political momentum in protest,Party building and election campaign,we can find that the main dilemma of the mainland spouses'political participation comes from the identity misleading and institutional exclusion of ethnic politics in Taiwan.In the future,only by getting rid of the discourse myth of“new inhabitants”and actively and comprehensively integrating into the process of national reunification can they achieve real political development.
