Objective To investigate the influence of balancing apparatus training on Developmental Coordination Disorder(DCD)children’s ability to balance. Methods A total of 58 children of DCD children were enrolled in this study that were diagnosed and treated in Women’s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from 2017 to 2019.They were divided into control group(30 cases)and intervention group(28 cases). The control group went on sensory integration training only and the intervention group went on balancing apparatus training and sensory integration training. All of these children would be assessed with Movement Assessment Battery for Children-2(MABC-2)and balancing apparatus(Tetrax)test at the beginning and the end of the study to evaluate their balance ability. Results After training, the balance ability of the two groups were better than before training, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05);and the balance ability scores of the intervention group were significantly better than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Balancing apparatus training and sensory integration training can both improve the balance ability of DCD children.Furthermore, the effect of balancing apparatus training combined with sensory integration training is better.
