论语义的确定性——对语义模糊论的反思

On the Certainty of Meaning:Reflecting on theMeaning Fuzziness

模糊性作为语言的自然特征受到了国内外学者的广泛关注。甚至已经出现了“模糊语义学”这样的系统学科研究。语义模糊论认为一个语言单位的意义在某一层面存在多种解释,表现出语义的不确定性。文章试通过对语义模糊论的哲学基础、理论来源以及典型理据三方面对其进行剖析,反思该理论的问题,最后力图说明:语义本质上不是模糊的,而是确定的。也正是这个属性使得一个语言社区对语词意义的把握、理解具有通约性,从而保证人们能够使用语言进行交流。

As a natural feature of language,the fuzziness assumption has been widely researched and the systematic research on fuzziness semantics has already appeared.This assumption holds that the meaning of a language unit has multiple interpretations at a certain level,showing semantic uncertainty.This paper intends to reflect on its defects by analyzing the semantic fuzziness from the following three aspects:philosophical basis,theoretical sources and typical motivations.At last,it strives to illustrate that the language meaning is clear and with certainty in essence.It is this attribute that guarantees the commensurability on the grasping and understanding of word meaning in a language community,so as to ensure that people can successfully use language to communicate.
