The novel Never Let Me Go plants the reader into a biopolitical field co-formed by man-made life and natural life,to face a clone girl’s short-lived life, and to invite the reader to experience and rethink together over various problems popping up whenever outside factors intervene into life. These matters mainly lie in that the novel has impersonally written political power and biomedical government technique, and some complex life sensibility problems caused by this technique in life, that the novel has narrated in detail much of discomfort problem when life is intervened by outside elements such as power and technology, and the problematization of life itself,so as to let reader ponder over how mankind,in experiencing a kind of asymmetric tension, should face a life object made by itself, and that the novel has presented life’s subjectifying efforts in adapting to and resisting against the outside factors as well as the ultimate utopian ending. As a science fiction of writing life,Never Let Me Go offers a sample text to carry out biopolitical criticism.
