Topic reading is a new teaching mode.Given a certain topic for students,allowing students to read independently can meet students'reading needs,extend textbook content,broaden students'reading range,and improve students'Chinese reading ability.This paper explores the application of theme reading in Chinese teaching,in order to give full play to the role of theme reading in Chinese teaching,improve the quality of Chinese teaching,and enhance students'Chinese core competence.
