外交口译过程中互文性意义的实现与例示化

Realization and Instantiation of Intertextual Meaning in the Process of Diplomatic Interpreting

作为口译研究的重要领域之一,外交口译虽引起学界关注,但对其过程中互文性意义的实现与例示化机制探源较少。在系统功能语言学视角下,从互文性口译符号的功能和实现层次、意义的发生过程及意义的实现和例示化3个方面,本研究聚焦探讨在外交语境下口译过程中互文性意义的实现与例示化机制。研究发现,外交口译中互文性意义的实现是由外交语境为发言人提供互文形成的情景、外交互文语境为译员提供例示化产生的意义潜势与目的语例示化连续体3个机制程序促动。而且,外交口译中互文性意义是由语内互文向语际互文转移。希望本研究对外交口译中互文性意义的例示化机制的探索能够促进外交口译研究的发展,并对互文性分析提供一定的借鉴和启示。

As an important area of interpreting studies,diplomatic interpreting has captured much attention in recent years.The present article,from the perspective of systemic functional linguistics,focuses on the stratification,semogenisis as well as the instantiation and realization of intertextual meaning in the process of diplomatic interpreting.The study finds out that the realization of intertextuality in diplomatic interpreting depends on three motivated procedures:the diplomatic context providing intertextuality for a spokesperson,the diplomatic intertextual context providing the interpretor with the instantiation of the meaning as well as the cline of target language.Moreover,the intertextual meaning in diplomatic interpreting is transferred from intralingual intertextua-lity to interlingual intertextuality.The article explores the instantiation of intertextuality in diplomatic interpreting,hoping to promote the development of diplomatic interpreting research.
