Xinzhou Ancient Town,located in Xinzhou,a city in North China's Shanxi Province,was established in 215,during the East Han Dynasty(25-220).With a long history and a rich culture,Xinzhou has long been an important cultural and business center in the northern region of the province.
忻州古城位于山西省忻州市区城南,亦称秀容古城,始建于东汉建安二十年(公元215年)。明清时期忻州是中俄万里茶路上的历史文化名城,因繁荣富庶而得“南绛北代,忻州不赖”之赞,又因文风昌盛而有“文集九原、雅出秀容”之誉,更具“晋北锁钥、三关总要”之称,是晋北文化中心和商品集散重镇。
