摘要
以Kautz的《美食家》德译本为例,共收集52个语用预设信息,考察和比较了译者使用的6种翻译方法及其优缺点。通过实例分析发现,解释性翻译、直译和直译+文内嵌入式解释是译者最常采用的3种翻译方法。其中:解释性翻译用通俗易懂的目的语传达出了源文预设的深层语用含义;直译则保留了源文预设的表达,介绍了中国文化;直译+文内嵌入式解释兼顾了两者的优点,体现了译者为传递预设信息而作出的努力。
Based on the analysis of 52 examples of the pragmatic presupposition,the paper makes a study on the translation methods in the German version of The Gourmet translated by Kautz and compares their merits and demerits.The result shows that the explanatory translation,the literal translation,and the literal translation plus the in-text explanation are the three most commonly used methods.The explanatory translation conveys the deep pragmatic meanings of the presuppositions in the easy-to-understand target language;the literal translation retains the expression of the presuppositions in the source text and introduces Chinese culture;the literal translation plus the in-text explanation has the advantages of both,reflecting the efforts made by the translator to deliver the pragmatic presuppositions.
