The modernization pursued by the nation is distinctly“industrialized”in character.In the history of China s modernization for more than one hundred years,the symbol of Chinese railways has been consistent throughout.In the era of revolution and war,railways represented the advanced industrial civilization,the embodiment of scientific spirit,and the necessary condition for survival.During the period of socialist construction,the railway,as a delegate of the planned economic system,was the epitome of the socialist modernization model.After the reform and opening up,the railways were the focus and the difficulty of deepening reform,and were a manifestation of the particularities in constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics.Entering the“new era”,the railway technology innovation model represented by the high-speed railway is the successful practice of the independent innovation road of developing countries and valuable experience.
