图像作为人类记忆的一种手段,先于文字而出现,始终是我们了解与研究历史不可或缺的重要资料。图书馆是人类记忆的汇聚之所,图书馆进行影像史料采集,既是图书馆记忆功能的回归,又是履行其基本社会职责的表现。国家图书馆中国记忆项目中心的口述史学、影像史学实践,通过对重大历史事件、重要历史人物、非物质文化遗产等的记录与保护,留下了珍贵的历史记忆,积累了丰富的文献资源,极大地提高了图书馆的服务水平与社会影响力。影像史学的发展,既契合了图书馆社会记忆功能回归的现实需要,也为图书馆馆藏体系的完善与拓展提供了重要渠道。

I mages p recede words a s a means of human memory.T hey a re a lways a must-have for u s t o u nderstand and study history.Libraries are the gathering place of human memory.Collecting historical materials by the library represents not only the return of the memory function of the library,but also the performance of its basic social responsibilities.Through recording and protecting the major historical events,important historical figures,and intangible cultural heritage,the oral history and image historical practice of China Memory Project Center of National Library has recorded considerable precious historical memories,accumulated rich literature resources and greatly improved the library's service and social influence.The development of image history not only meets the needs of the returning of the library's social memory functions,but also provides an important channel for the improvement and expansion of the library collection system.
