Vision, Approach Dilemmas and Challenges of Construction of Socialist Eco-civilization Theory after the COVID-19 Pandemic

发轫于马克思恩格斯人与自然关系思想的"马克思主义生态学",是中国特色社会主义生态文明理论与实践的重要政治哲学基础。社会主义生态文明及其建设,并不仅仅意味着构造一整套围绕着生态环境有效保护与治理目标的公共管理政策体系,而是还要努力创建将社会主义政治和生态可持续性考量相结合的新经济、新社会与新文化。2020年爆发的全球新冠肺炎疫情既让我们更加清楚地意识到,更多是基于马克思主义生态学或广义的生态马克思主义的关于社会主义生态文明未来图景的许多理论构想,与我国的社会主义生态文明建设实践之间其实还存在着显而易见的区别,但也让我们更加清醒地认识到,同时基于社会主义政治和生态可持续性考量及其二者有机融合的历史和理论自觉,是当代中国社会主义生态文明建设实践切实持续取得成效并最终获得成功的前提性条件。

Marxist ecology, emanated from Marx and Engels’ thoughts of the relationship between human beings and nature, is an important political and philosophical basis for the theory and practice of the socialist eco-civilization with Chinese characteristics.Socialist eco-civilization and its construction does not only mean the building of a set of public management policies and systems around the goal of effective ecological protection and governance but also the creation of new economy, society culture that will take both the socialist politics and the sustainability of ecology into consideration.The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 has given us many implications.The first implication is that many theoretical visions about the future of the socialist eco-civilization, which is based more on Marxist ecology or ecological Marxism in a broad sense, have apparent differences with the practice of the socialist eco-civilization construction in China.The second implication is that if the practice of the socialist eco-civilization construction in contemporary China aims at continuous progress and final success, a historical and theoretical consciousness based on the consideration of the socialist politics and the sustainability of ecology as well as their integration should be a prerequisite.
