Selenium and vitamin E are essential trace elements and vitamins in the production of livestock and poultry.Both of them have antioxidant properties,and they are mutually restricted in the production of livestock and poultry,but can not be replaced by each other.The paper will analyze the biological functions of selenium and vitamin E as well as their application in livestock and poultry production,and summarize the optimal supplemental amount of selenium and vitamin E in livestock and poultry production.
