法国当代哲学家兼汉学家弗朗索瓦·朱利安的《道德奠基》一书以探讨中欧道德观差异为主题,在对卢梭、叔本华、康德等欧洲哲学家和中国先秦思想家孟子的文本进行细致解读后,他将研究的切入点锁定在道德感的来源——“怜悯”之上,以此开启中欧伦理新对话的可能.其超越具体时代,以文本分析为基础的研究方法极富独创性.

Frangois Jullien,French contemporary philosopher and sinologist,aims to explore,in his book Dialogue sur la morale,the different views of morality in both Chinese and European thoughts.Through a comparative study on the texts of some European philosophers such as Rousseau,Schopenhauer,Kant,and those of Mencius from Ancient China,Jullien has fixed his starting point on the notion of pity considered as the source of moral sense,so as to create the possiblity of opening a new dialogue between Chinese and European ethics.His research method,based on text analysis,has proved to be original since it breaks through the limitation of time and history.
