摘要
后现代主义哲学大师列维纳斯的他者中心主体观对电影《大都会》中的“主体性”问题提供了独特的分析视角。追溯列维纳斯伦理思想脉络中凝视“他者”之脸、到正视“他者”之力、再到与“他者”相遇,使观众清楚地看到主人公埃里克从无限膨胀的“主体”到被他人限制的“主体”,直至成为与“他者”相遇的“主体”之心路历程。影片展现了“主体”的精神荒芜与道德沦丧,同时寄托着导演对伦理美德曙光到来的渴望。
Emmanuel Levinas,as a remarkable philosopher of postmodernist,delivered the Theory on The Other,which offers a unique perspective to the analysis of the movie Cosmopolis.By tracing Levinas’sequence of thoughts:gazing the Other’s face,confronting the Other’s power and meeting with the Other,the audience takes a clear view at the leading role Eric’s metal experiences from infinite self,restrictive self to self meeting with the Other.The movie expresses spiritual desolation and moral bankruptcy of capitalism and the eager for virtue dawn from the director.
