Yoshihito Akatsuka, a Japanese film production designer, has won international acclaim for his delicate artistic style. In The Yinyang Master, he created the inspiration and orientation of the Chinese fantasy style without real dynasty but rooted in historical culture, which establishes its own unique original oriental aesthetic system. The design of The Yinyang Master emphasizes realism in surrealist film, and creates an atmosphere in real space with real senses. Its style wanders between absurdity and reality, which enhances the quality of fantasy films with unique texture and charm, just like the surrealist paintings painted by the painter with exquisite hyperrealism techniques, exuding a particular style of expressionism.
