甲基化修饰对病毒潜伏感染的调控作用研究进展

Research Advances in the Role of Methylation in Latent Viral Infections

病毒在宿主体内所建立的潜伏感染与肿瘤、免疫性疾病等多种疾病的发生和发展密切相关,并直接导致相关疾病很难被彻底治愈。目前,随着潜伏感染调控机制研究的深入,表观遗传修饰在其中扮演的角色也进一步被发现。而甲基化作为其中最重要,也是研究最详尽的调控方式之一,在病毒潜伏感染的建立和维持中也是不可或缺的。本文将分别对DNA、RNA和组蛋白甲基化在病毒潜伏感染中的调控作用、靶向甲基化修饰的药物在临床治疗中的应用前景等方面进行综述,以期为抗病毒治疗策略的研究提供参考。

A latent viral infection(LVI) established in a host is closely related to the occurrence and development of various diseases(e.g.,cancer,immunologic diseases). It also hampers complete cure of related diseases. With increased research on LVI mechanisms,the part played by epigenetic modifications has been elucidated. Methylation,as one of the most important and well-studied modifications,is also indispensable in the establishment and maintenance of LVIs. This review summarizes the regulatory role of DNA,RNA,and histone methylation in LVIs. We also discuss the prospect of candidate drugs targeting methylation modification,which could provide basic knowledge for the study of antiviral-therapy strategies.
