嵌藏于灵岩寺鲁班洞遗址内的唐李邕撰《灵岩寺碑颂并序》碑,久为历代文人史家所关注,该碑是现存记载灵岩寺历史最久、内容最多、信息量最为丰富的碑刻史料,涉及灵岩创始及唐高祖、唐高宗护持兴建寺宇等情况,是填补盛唐以前史料记载的重要文献。

"Ode to and Preface for the Lingyan Temple"was written by Li,Yong,a calligrapher in Tang Dynasty,which embedded in Lingyan Temple Luban Cave Site.It attracted the eye-sights of many scholars,literati and historians of different dynasties.This tablet is the recorded materials of the oldest,most content and most abundant information of Lingyan Temple's history which covers the foundation of Lingyan Temple,building and protecting temples of Emperor Gaozong of Tang dynasty,etc.It is also a vital document to fill the historical records since the prosperous period of Tang Dynasty.
