By constructing a theoretical model of minimum wage and the enterprises’participation in global value chain(GVC),this paper uses Heckman two-stage model to investigate the impact of minimum wage on the enterprises’participation in GVC.The results show that:(1)the increase of minimum wage significantly reduces the probability of the enterprises to participate in GVC,but increases the participation degree of the surviving enterprises in GVC;(2)the increase of minimum wage has a greater negative impact on the participation of the labor-intensive enterprises and the enterprises with a higher proportion of low-skilled labor in GVC;(3)minimum wage exerts an effect on the probability and degree of the enterprises’participation in GVC through"cost effect"and"relative price effect";(4)the"bandwagon effect"of regional minimum wage as well as minimum wage have a synergistic inhibition effect on the probability of the enterprises’participation in GVC,but exert a synergistic promotion effect on the enterprises’participation degree in GVC.
