Nicotinamide riboside is a natural vitamin B3 nutrient found mainly in yeast,bacteria,milk and mammals.Nicotin-amide riboside has neuroprotective effects,and its neuroprotective mechanisms include:improving the level of NAD+,antioxidant ef-fect,protecting mitochondria,anti-inflammatory,and increasing the secretion of neurotrophic factors,etc.It has a certain potential in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease,Parkinson's disease and other neurological diseases.Niacinamide riboside has a good safety and therapeutic window,but high doses can cause side effects.Therefore,an in-depth study of the intake dose of nicotinamide ribo-side and its neuroprotective mechanism in various nervous system diseases will provide important experimental basis and theoretical reference for the screening of therapeutic drugs for nervous system diseases and the prevention and treatment of nervous system dis-eases.
