On Crime Science

犯罪科学以减少犯罪为首要目标,是相对于传统犯罪学一个新的研究领域。转向犯罪科学的原因是由于随着数字化的发展以及科技的进步,犯罪问题的解决可以整合和利用更多的技术方法,并且实现成本更低和效率更高的防治效果。犯罪科学的研究理念是基于环境犯罪学的基础理论,其主要特点包括以减少犯罪而非改造犯罪人为目的,倾向于经世致用之学以及整合更多学科以解决犯罪问题。

With the reduction of crimes as its primary goal, crime science is a new research field of Criminology, as opposed to traditional Criminology research fields.The rise of the crime science is due to the fact that, with the development of digitization and the progress of science and technology, solving crimes can rely on more technological means to achieve lower costs and higher efficiency of crime prevention. Crime science research is based on the fundamental theories of Environmental Criminology, aimed to reduce crimes instead of saving offenders, and inclined to apply utilitarian and multidisciplinary approach to solve crimes.
