Environme ntal impact assessme nt(EIA)plays an active role in modern economic construction and environmental protection,and the reasonable application of GIS technology in EIA can achieve remarkable results.Starting from the analysis of the connotation and function of GIS technology,this paper expounds the importance of GIS technology to EIA,and emphatically introduces the practical application of GIS technology in EIA,including regional EIA,project EIA,cumulative EIA and strategic EIA,which provides good reference for the steady development of environmental impact assessment test.
