摘要
翻译理论经过“作者、文本、读者、解构、文化、生态”等阶段后亦已出现“认知”转向。笔者(2014)尝试将国外的“认知语言学(CL)”本土化为“体认语言学(ECL)”,据此“认知翻译学”就可顺理成章地修补为“体认翻译学”,以能进一步打通翻译学与马列主义、语言学、语言哲学、后现代哲学(含体验哲学)、认知科学等理论之间的通道。本文简述该本土化新兴跨学科的理论基础,尝试描述其权宜性定义,重点解读了其中最重要的关键词“体认”。可用“体”来解释翻译中的“同”和“模仿”,用“认”来解释翻译中的“异”和“创造”,这既可为翻译研究提供一个更新的视角,也可为CL、ECL拓宽更广的视野,算是对世界范围内语言学和翻译学开拓了一个新的边缘学科。
The author of this paper has helped to usher in and push forward the cognitive turn in China’s translation studies by infusing cognitive translatology with theoretical insights derived from embodied-cognitive linguistics and transforming it into an embodied-cognitive translatology that better links translation studies with Marxism, linguistics, philosophy of language, postmodernism, and especially cognitive science. The present paper explains the rationale of embodied-cognitive translatology, assigning to this new inter-discipline a tentative definition that lays emphasis on "embodied cognition" as its semantic core. The "body" referred to in this term serves to give a concrete form to the "sameness" and "imitation" in translation, while the "cognition" in the same term incorporates the "difference" and "creation" in the practice. Thus defined, the embodied-cognitive translatology makes available both a new perspective for translation studies and a new horizon for cognitive linguistics and embodied-cognitive linguistics.
