生态审美视域下的《云雀之歌》再探

Song of the Lark Revisited:The Perspective of Ecoaesthetic Criticism

小说《云雀之歌》是凝聚着薇拉·凯瑟生态审美思想的重要作品,浓缩着她超前的生态审美理念。但目前国内外对其以生态批评为视角的论述尚不足。本文以“生态审美”视角重新阐释这部作品,分别从“双向参与式审美”、野性思维和日常生活审美化三个方面进行解读,揭示作家对生态问题的独特思考。研究发现,凯瑟是一位具有前瞻性的生态审美意识的作家。她倡导以生态审美的态度和伦理对待自然、社会和人生,并在作品中为我们揭示了如何实现审美化生存的策略。挖掘和阐释其小说文本中的生态审美内涵对于构建、完善生态审美理论体系无疑具有重要的启示。

Song of the Lark is a work that embodies the quintessence of Willa Cather’s ecoaesthetic thoughts and concepts.However,studies carried from the perspective of ecocriticism at home and abroad are far from enough.This article,therefore,taking this perspective,reinterprets the novel from three aspects:“Mutual Participatory aesthetics”;“wild thinking”;and“the aestheticization of everyday life”to unveil the writer’s unique thoughts on ecological issues.It is found that Cather is a writer with forward-looking ecoaesthetic consciousness.She advocates an ecoaesthetic attitude and ethics towards nature,society and life,and demonstrates in her works the strategy of how to acquire the aesthetic existence.Undoubtedly,excavating and interpreting the ecoaesthetic concepts and consciousness encoded in her works is of great significance to the construction and perfection of the ecoaesthetics theory.
