Applications of various machine learning algorithms in lung cancer research

摘要 目前肺癌已经成为全世界恶性肿瘤导致死亡的主要原因。由于肺癌患者在早期并无典型症状,多数患者在确诊时已经处于癌症晚期,预后效果不佳。尽早、准确地发现有潜在风险的患者并进行诊断,并对其预后进行准确的预测,对进一步的治疗方案的拟定有重要的意义。近年来,人工智能领域发展火热。机器学习作为人工智能领域的一个分支,具有从复杂、大量数据中进行高效学习的能力,同时学习得到的模型有良好的泛化能力。这些特点可以极大地推进肺癌的有关研究。 Lung cancer has become the leading cause of death from malignant tumors worldwide.At the same time,statistics show that the incidence and mortality of lung cancer are increasing year by year.Because patients with lung cancer do not have typical symptoms in the early stage,this directly leads to the majority of patients who are already at advanced stage at the time of diagnosis,and the prognosis is not good.How to diagnose lung cancer early and accurately and find patients with potential risks and predict the prognosis is of great significance for the formulation of further treatment plans.In recent years,the field of artificial intelligence has been booming.As a branch of artificial intelligence,machine learning could learn efficiently from complex and large amounts of data.Besides,the learned model has good generalization ability.These characteristics can take greatly advance on the research about lung cancer.
