Computer Aided Translation Teaching for College English Majors Based on Translation Practice

当前翻译课程教学主要延续教材讲解的模式,翻译材料以文学报刊类文章为主。而翻译市场的需求以专业导向为主,导致学生的知识结构与市场需求脱钩。随着计算机辅助翻译技术的快速发展,翻译教学与市场需求如何有效的结合是翻译教学亟待解决问题。结合某市场实际翻译需求,本文剖析了通过翻译实践方式教授计算机辅助翻译课程。分析如何按照市场需求培养学生的翻译能力,如何使用CAT软件提高翻译效率并建设专业语料库,提出了翻译实践结合翻译教学可能的发展模式。

At present, the teaching of translation course mainly continues the mode of explanation based on teaching material which are mainly literary and newspaper articles. The demand of translation market is mainly professional oriented, which leads to the decoupling of students’ knowledge structure and market demand. As the rapid development of computer-aided translation technology, the combination of translation teaching and market demand has became an urgent need for the major development. Combined with the actual translation needs of certain market needs, this paper focuses on junior students majoring in English in our college who study computer-aided translation course through translation practice. This paper analyzes how to cultivate students’ translation ability according to market demand, how to use CAT software to improve translation efficiency and build professional corpus, and puts forward the possible development mode of combining translation practice with translation teaching.
