Under unique geological and weather conditions,traditional folk houses in Xinjiang combines adaptability,ecologism,economy,and aesthetic in perfect unison.As such,it has a variety of implications for the continuity and innovation of regionalist architecture,for the brilliant survivalist wisdom and beauty manifested in its design.The practice of regionalist design should keep track of the original purpose of architecture,upholding the dual principles of minimalism and naturalism.We should aim to bring about the co-existence and co-dependence among humanity,architecture,and nature,insofar as the respect of,adaptability to,and harmony with nature is one of the eternal themes of human society.
