Synthesis of ultra-high molecular weight poly-α-octene by Ziegler-Natta catalysis and its drag reduction application

摘要 在Ziegler-Natta催化体系TiCl_(4)/Al(i-Bu)3下合成超高分子量聚辛烯,探索了催化剂、溶剂、聚合温度、聚合时间对分子量的影响。结果表明,优选合成高分子量聚辛烯的条件为:主催化剂相对单体浓度1.0 mg/mL,助催化剂为三异丁基铝TIBA,Al-Ti比为80,溶剂为环己烷,单体与溶剂体积比为1∶1.5,聚合温度为0℃,聚合时间为48 h,产物特性粘度能达到13.7 dL/g,在柴油中添加量为10 mg/L时,减阻率16.7%,接近国外进口产品。 Poly-α-octene was synthesized by Ziegler-Natta catalyst.The effects of catalyst,solvent,polymerization temperature and polymerization time on the molecular weight of the product were investigated.The result showed that optimal conditions for the synthesis of poly-α-octene with ultra-high molecular weight were as follows:the concentration of the main catalyst relative to the monomer was 1.0 mg/mL,the co-catalyst was triisobutyl aluminum(TIBA),and the Al-Ti ratio was 80;the solvent was cyclohexane,and the volume ratio of monomer to solvent was 1∶1.5;the polymerization temperature is 0℃and the polymerization time was controlled for 48 h.The characteristic viscosity of product reached 13.7 dL/g.The drag reduction rate reached 16.7%when the additive amount was 10 mg/L.
