The ‘Curator’ of the Exhibition with Chinese Characteristics

中国博物馆事业的蓬勃发展,让越来越多的人关注博物馆的策展工作。中西方国家体制和博物馆建制的不同,从根本上决定了中国语境下博物馆"策展人"所受到的制约,以及其在一个展览中所承担的工作职责,也因此决定了国内博物馆的策展人应该是一个"全能型"选手。本文作者从工作实际出发,解读了中国语境下"策展人"的工作职责,以及策展工作对"策展人"专业素养的要求,并试图讨论在策展工作流程中存在的相关问题。

People are getting more concerned about exhibition planning with the museum undertaking developing vigorous in China. The exhibition curator, western or Chinese, performs under the social system of the state and the organizational construction of the museum he serves. As far as the curator of China’s exhibition is concerned, he plays as an allrounder more than a team leader involved in every aspect of the whole program. This thesis starts with the personal experience to talk about the responsibility and professional quality of the ‘curator’ to organize the exhibitions in the museums of China, and other issues in the workflow as well.
