东噶·洛桑赤列是西藏自治区林芝市扎西曲林寺第八世东噶活佛,在色拉寺获得拉然巴格西,在拉萨上密院获得俄然巴格西。西藏和平解放后,曾先后任教于中央民族学院和西藏大学,为新中国培养了众多藏学研究工作者,同时他又著述宏富,可以说在藏学教育和藏学研究方面均贡献卓著,是20世纪著名藏学大师,在中国现代藏学史上具有重要地位。年谱根据东噶·洛桑赤列先生已出版的各种著作版本和有关他的研究资料,以年代为序,对其一生的学术活动和重要事迹进行了仔细排比、考订,以转述方式力求相对准确地反映其人生历程。

Dunkar Lobzang Trinle was the eighth reincarnation lama of Tashi Qulin Monastery,and received Lharampa degree from Sera which is a top school of Tibetan Buddhism,and also received Ngaramspa degree from the Upper Tantra College of Lhasa.After the liberation,he was being a teacher at Minzu University of China and Tibet University,where he trained many scholars on Tibetan studies.He has made a great achievement on academics as well as on Tibetan education and published lots of works on these matters.He is recognized as one of the great Tibetologists of the 20th century,who should be a great figure on the history of Tibetology.This chronology,based on his publications and other related materials,reviews the academic career of Dunkar Lobzang Trinle by analyzing his academic works and important events.
