This paper introduced the water system of Nanyang city along the Yangtze River basin and the tasks in fishing ban.We must strengthen the organization and leadership,establish departmental interaction,pay attention to fishing ban publicity,enhance law enforcement,and supervised the implementation of fishing ban etc.The future works were planned from improving political position and ability building.
