As a classic re-writing version of Robinson Crusoe, the intertextual relationship between Foe and the former is self-evident.Unlike the former, the silence of Friday became the narrative center of the text, and the"event"in the sense of Zizek that"who cut the tongue of Friday"dispels the colonial mythology constructed by European whites with realist novels. The body of the other from the Real shows the illusion of racist falsehood in the gesture of refusal to symbolize, and also embodies the inconsistency of the symbolic order of the white colonial mythology. At the same time,it also challenges the writing of white writers in South Africa.
