The mainstream scholarly concern in Ceremony, published in 1970s by Silko, focuses on a logic of rationality rather than the connotation of textual sensibility.Responding to a body turn in the theoretical field of humanities,Ceremony critiques a rational crisis rooted in the thinking mode of binary opposition, applies the boundary experience of body as a remedy to trauma and constructs body subjectivity of both sensibility and consciousness. Thus, the writing aims at a return to coexistent homogeneity of body and the world as well as a process of becoming and cultural transition.
