Practice and Reflection on the Construction of English Websites in University Libraries

面对高校图书馆加强自身实力及提升服务能力、拓展对外宣传的多样化服务要求,文章通过对我国高校图书馆英文网站建设整体情况的了解,以北京师范大学图书馆英文网站建设工作的规划、进程为例,从分析该馆英文网站的特点入手,对高校图书馆英文网站在建设深度、信息更新时效性、挖掘内容及展示特色等方面提出了相关思考。

Facing the diversified service requirements of university libraries to strengthen their own strength,improve service ability and expand external publicity,this paper analyzes the overall situation of English website construction of university libraries in China.Taking the planning and process of English website construction of Beijing Normal University Library as an example,starting from the analysis of the characteristics of the library’s English website,this paper puts forward some thoughts on the construction depth,information updating timeliness,mining content and display characteristics of English websites of university libraries.
