Scenery is Good in a Remote Place ——The Writing of Bagui Scenery in Shang Pan ’ s Zhiyuan Poetry Collection in the Qing Dynasty

商盘,清雍乾时期绍兴籍诗人、官员,乾隆年间曾先后任广西郁林知州、太平知府、庆远知府、镇安知府,在桂7年。商盘自订诗集《质园诗集》,收录其旅桂所作诗650余首,其中纪写八桂风物者尤多,内容广泛涉及各地山川地理、名胜古迹、民族民风、物产民生等,除了文学审美价值外,还具有历史学、民族学、民俗学、文献学等多方面的文献价值。

Shang Pan was a poet and official from Shaoxing during the Yong zheng and Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.During the Qianlong period,he served successively as the prefect of Yulin,Taiping,Qingyuan,and Zhen’an,and he was in Guangxi for 7 years.Shang Pan’s customized poem collection Zhiyuan Poetry Collection contains more than 650 poems written during his travelling in Guangxi.Among them,many write about the Bagui scenery.The content covers a wide range of mountains and rivers,geography,scenic spots and historical sites,ethnic customs,products and people’s livelihoods.In addition to aesthetic value for literature,it also has documentary value in many aspects such as history,ethnology,folklore and philology.
