This article mainly addresses the synchronic distribution and diachronic evolution of the liquid finals*-r and*-l in Mon-Khmer languages.It also touches on the significance of the diachronic evolution rules of Mon-Khmer the two liquid finals on the research of the development and change of the liquid finals*-r and*-l in Archaic Chinese.
