孵化器运营效率对企业创新行为的影响

The Influence of Incubator Operation Efficiency on Corporate Innovation Behavior

孵化器已成为企业技术创新的重要空间载体,其运营绩效对企业创新的影响也日益引起关注。本文把孵化器运营效率纳入企业创新水平提升的研究框架,利用2015—2018年混合截面数据,采用广义倾向得分匹配法,实证检验了孵化器运营效率对在孵企业创新行为影响的总体效应、机制及差异性特征。结果表明,孵化器运营效率的提升显著强化了在孵企业的创新能力,成为提升企业创新水平的新动力;孵化器运营效率不仅通过纯技术效率和规模效率对在孵企业创新行为发挥直接作用,还可以通过品牌效应与平台效应对企业创新产生间接影响;此外,孵化器运营效率对企业创新的积极影响在不同区域、不同性质及不同等级的孵化器之间存在显著差别,东部和西部地区、民营型及国家级孵化器内的在孵企业创新从孵化器运营效率提升中获益更多。因此,应采取相应措施改进孵化器运营效率,以促进企业创新。

Incubators have become an important carrier of corporate technological innovation,and the impact of its operation performance on corporate innovation has attracted more and more attention.The paper puts the incubator operation efficiency into the research framework of improving corporate innovation.Based on the mixed cross-sectional data of incubators in 2015-2018,by using the generalized propensity score matching method,the paper empirically tests the overall effect,mechanism and difference characteristics of the impact of the incubator operation efficiency on incubated enterprises’innovation behavior.The results show that higher operation efficiency significantly strengthens the innovation ability of incubated enterprises and becomes a new driving force for enterprises to improve innovation.The incubator can not only directly enhance the innovation ability of the incubated enterprises through pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency,but also indirectly through the brand effect and platform effect.In addition,the positive impact of the incubator operation efficiency on corporate innovation varies greatly by region,by the nature and grade of the incubator.The innovation of incubated enterprises in eastern and western regions,private and national incubators benefits more from higher operation efficiency of their incubators.Based on the research results,this paper puts forward policy suggestions on improving the operation efficiency of incubators and promoting corporate innovation.
