1从历史说起1937年,抗日战争全面爆发,大陆通往外界的交通被封锁,国内的唯一补给线——滇缅公路修通,但司机和修理人才奇缺。国难当头,民族危亡,3000多名来自东南亚各国的华人子弟,响应陈嘉庚先生的号召,组成"南洋华侨机工回国服务团",加入到抗战的后援工作,保证了滇缅公路的畅通,他们抢运的军需物资占抗战期间全部军需物资的一半。

1 History In 1937,the Anti-Japanese War broke out in an all-round way.The transportation from the China's Mainland to the outside world was blocked.The only supply line in China,the Yunnan Myanmar highway,was built,but there was a shortage of drivers and repair personnel.In response to the call of Mr.TAN Kah Kee,more than 3000 Chinese children from Southeast Asian countries formed a"Nanyang overseas Chinese mechanic returning service group"to join the back-up work of the Anti-Japanese War,which ensured the smooth flow of the Yunnan Burma Road and accounted for half of the military supplies during the Anti-Japanese War.
